Hai-kachoo! Oh, Paul-en?!
Robin’s Egg Blue Box?
Heck no! Not at this here house!
I bought my own gift.
Kid at MDO
Discover card in my hand
Ready! Set! Charge It!
In 9 minutes flat,
Managed to spend small fortune
& get gift for Pup.
Alas & alack!
Just a gift certificate
and some DVDs.
Supply & demand!??
Economics bit my toosh.
Could not find a Wii…
Sorry my Puppy,
Blame the men at Nintendo
For not making more.
Lunch with Catwoman
A comedy of errors!
Thought they kick us out!
And, then a phone call!
Hello there, my Blue Momma
Love talking to you!
Pup brought home flowers.
You dunce! After 13 years?
You still don’t get it.
Love: calla lilies
Allergic to: stargazers
Headache inducers.
First, they go outside
Then, a whiff comes through the door
“Howdy neighbor friend!
Did you get any?
No? Here you go. Take these!
Sure! Don’t mention it!
What are neighbors for?!!”
And, my headache finds relief.
Spouse? Gets the dunce cap.
Only 2 more months
Until anniversary
Please try again, babe!

A lily by any other name is not a lily, eh? Glad you and Catwoman had fun!
Now that St. Valentine’s is done, we can get ready for the fun saint…yay, St. Paddy!
February 14, 2008 at 9:20 pm
Pup gets points for trying right? Remember what I said. Engineers need diagrams and such. Make him a diagram (with written specs on the reverse side) detailing the EXACT flowers you want.
Let me know when you find a Wii. The race is ON.
February 14, 2008 at 9:22 pm
Pretty!
And I’m the same way with flowers…I can tolerate only a few types.
Happy Hai-day!
February 14, 2008 at 9:25 pm
It’s the thought that counts. And you can claim a headache tonight if you need to.
February 14, 2008 at 9:29 pm
You are so CUTE!!! I got James Avery too! =)Charms for my bracelet!
I like what you got yourself…hehehe!!!
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!

February 14, 2008 at 10:00 pm

February 14, 2008 at 10:37 pm
Oh… husbands… They try, and try again. We’re a hard bunch to please.

Target restocks their wiis for Sunday morning. So head over on Sunday morning and you may get lucky.
And call the floral shop he visits and let them know how to steer him.
But he should still get points for trying.

Yay for MDO and lunch with a friend. Boo on not finding a Wii and hubbies who cant remember allergies. Im glad you were able to gift the neighbor though. How sweet of you!
February 15, 2008 at 5:06 am
That St. Theresa pendant is gorgeous! You did good!
I told my husband years ago to stop getting me flowers. It just seems like a waste of money because in a few days they’re dead. But one year he bought me tulips that you could replant. Those I liked!
February 15, 2008 at 6:49 am
I want a Wii too! My friend got a fantastic deal on Ebay. He paid less then retail plus got a extra remote and 4 games with it!
Thought I would stop back and say hi!!!
February 15, 2008 at 6:53 am
How can they still be out almost two months after Christmas???? Crazy!
I’m hoping I can buy one for Sweetie Pie for his birthday in September, unless money karma bites me in the ass again and someone other government group decides they want $4,000 out of us too… GRRRRR.
February 15, 2008 at 7:07 am
Oh no! I’m sorry about your flowers!
No Robin’s Egg Blue here either….just some flowers that were almost dead. He tried but I gave some pointers.
I can’t find a Wii either - I feel your pain!
February 15, 2008 at 7:25 am
My favorite flowers are calla lilies too.
February 15, 2008 at 7:36 am
Thank you for the link to Tiffany and Co. LOL.
Now I can drop hints to Sparky. LOL.
February 15, 2008 at 8:23 am
Sorry about the flowers, but at least he tried!
(My hubby doesn’t remember that I don’t care for red roses, although I got chocolate this year anyway.)
February 15, 2008 at 8:24 am
Nice bracelet! Good Luck with the Wii. I remember racing round last year trying to find one I can’t believe they are still selling out!
February 15, 2008 at 8:25 am
I’ll take your Stargazers. Love ‘em, love ‘em, love ‘em. You would die in my yard in June, I’m sure, since they are planted EVERYWHERE! Guess we’ll have to stick to the Vermont plan.
He tried. He deserves points for that. Next year, make sure you make the drawings as MamaGeek suggested. If you need grid paper, just give me a holler.
February 15, 2008 at 9:17 am

February 15, 2008 at 9:22 am
He He He - great ‘ku. Maybe hubby will learn about the flowers eventually, but I do think making him wear adunce cap might speed things up a bit!
February 15, 2008 at 10:07 am

February 15, 2008 at 12:10 pm
haha, great haikus!
February 15, 2008 at 12:26 pm
We don’t celebrate V-Day anymore - and the dunce cap issue is one of the reasons why. But I bet you made your neighbor’s day!
February 15, 2008 at 1:45 pm
They have a small stock of Wii’s at Costco here. Have you tried there?
I love calla lillies too. They were in my wedding bouquet. Nice haiku :o)
So jealous of the luncheon…pah!
February 15, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Hilarious Haiku! And I relate… no little blue boxes here, either…
February 15, 2008 at 2:41 pm
No bling in my house either… In fact, it wasn’t much of a Valentine’s.
My date for the evening was my son and we went to… McDonald’s. Whew-hew
February 15, 2008 at 3:30 pm
Marvelous ‘Ku as always. Sorry about the flowers. My fella could never seem to remember MY allergies either (or was just being perverse?) … I’ve written of WIND & allergies at Sacred Ruminations, but a surprise puppy visitor at Small Reflections … so take your pick. LOL
Hugs and blessings,
By the way … the link at Mommy Story took me to a WordPress sign-up page with your name inserted. Seemed strange, but fortunately I know where to find you anyway. Have a wonderful weekend w/o flowers. ;–
February 15, 2008 at 4:00 pm
aww those darn Wii’s are so hard to come by! So much fun too. Maybe next year huh?
February 15, 2008 at 6:25 pm
Give him points for trying.
I love James Avery!!! It’s my favorite!
I love Catwoman’s blog, I want bloggy real world meetings!
February 15, 2008 at 6:43 pm
Calla lilies are the. best. flower. ever.
<3
February 15, 2008 at 9:10 pm
Best Buy is supposed to get Wii’s every Thursday night. You should be there at opening on Friday. That’s how we got ours anyway.
And I know I am too far away to do lunch with, but seriously, you’ve never asked me to ring you! I feel soooo unloved.
February 16, 2008 at 7:55 am
Awwww at least your headache is gone.
Come St. Paddy’s day.
February 16, 2008 at 12:06 pm
LOL love the title of the Hai-ku. And love the bangle you got yourself. Excellent taste!
February 16, 2008 at 1:31 pm
I love me some James Avery. Always have! You have excellent taste!
February 16, 2008 at 7:33 pm
Lovely necklace! How fun with Catwoman and Blue Momma, sorry about the Wii and Stargazers. You could have sent them here.
I love their smell. Sorry.
February 16, 2008 at 8:18 pm
First time at your blog. Laughed out loud about your sons comments. I completely forgot Valentines Day and hurriedly made my hubby a card out of A4 lined paper… then we went fishing. Who says romance is dead? I’m in the Florida Keys at the moment, but normally I’m in the depths of Dorset, England. Great to find your blog. Jane
February 17, 2008 at 12:13 am
Good luck finding a Wii. I’ve damn near searched all of North Texas with no luck.
Poor Pup. Did he get points for trying?
February 17, 2008 at 4:24 am
Im jealous you can buy a wii when you find one, my parents have one and its great fun.
February 17, 2008 at 10:31 am
At least he remembered to get you a gift. That counts for something, right?
February 17, 2008 at 11:40 am
Hopefully, you get your calla lilies for your anniversary…how does he not know?
At least your neighbor got a nice treat!
February 17, 2008 at 5:36 pm
Nice of you to spread the love to the neighbor.
Men. Clueless.
You’d think after all that time, though, he’d remember which ones.
BTW, calla lilies are my fav, too. That is what my wedding bouquet was back in the day.
February 18, 2008 at 8:17 am
Ha! Love this.
At least he tried though. All Victor gave me was the flu.
February 18, 2008 at 8:56 am
I’m a gerber daisy fan mah-self.
February 18, 2008 at 1:48 pm
GREAT ‘ku, girl!!
Glad you had a blast last night, too.
February 19, 2008 at 2:40 pm
